The rock is generally black in color and it has commonly white crystals. Given these characteristics, the most similar type of rock is the igneous one. The magmas that form rocks of this color can be:

  1. Acid magmas;
  2. Intermediate magmas;
  3. Basic magmas;
  4. Ultra-basic magmas.
The magma that forms our rock is basic magma, which generally forms intensely colored rocks of dark green or black.

The textures:

  1. holocrystalline
  2. microcrystalline
  3. glassy
  4. porphyritic
The texture ,that is the set of characteristics with which the minerals appear inside, of our rock, given the presence of clearly visible crystals, is holocrystalline, more precisely with medium or coarse grain.
Given the texture we can say that it is an intrusive igneous rock. This can be understood from the size of the crystals that compose it. They are large, well defined and this means that the rock was formed by slow cooling inside the earth's surface.
